Credit for Plug-in Vehicles & Estimated Taxes

Attention all quarterly estimated taxpayers: there’s been a change in the credit for qualified plug-in electric vehicles that the IRS suggests you consider when you pay your 2009 estimated taxes.

According to the IRS, the electric vehicle credit is now limited to plug-in electric vehicles. The maximum credit for a qualified vehicle acquired after February 17, 2009, is $2,500.
